In the evening – from 6.00 p.m. to 2.00 a.m. – rhythmic invocations ma'pulung or ma'passampe (which are synonymous with the term nani ‘sung praise’) take place. Before beginning, a dog, a chicken, and a pig are sacrificed, then the courtyard is surrounded with a cloth (kalebu') to protect the houses from adversity. The invocation will last six hours without interruption. In turn, two officiants facing north declaim the history of the houses. Each holds a spear planted in the ground.

Le soir, de 21 h à 2 h du matin, des invocations rythmées (appelées ma’ pulung ou ma’passampe, synonyme de nani « louange chantée ») ont lieu. Avant de commencer, un chien, une poule et un cochon sont sacrifiés, puis la cour est entourée d’un tissu (kalebu’) pour protéger les maisons de l’adversité. L’invocation dure six heures sans interruption. Deux officiants, face à l’amont, déclament en alternance l’histoire des maisons en tenant une lance enfoncée dans la terre. (French)

Malam hari, dari pukul 18.00 sampai pukul 02.00 pagi, pemanjatan doa dengan ritme, ma’pulung atau ma’pasampe (yang memiliki sinonim nani, “puji-pujian yang dinyanyikan”) dilangsungkan. Sebelum dimulai, seekor anjing, seekor ayam betina, dan seekor babi disembelih. Kemudian halaman dikelilingi selapis kain (kalebu’) untuk melindungi rumah dari nasib buruk. Pemanjatan doa berlangsung selama enam jam tanpa henti.
