For the highest ritual of the East (bua’ kasalle), a high platform is erected (bala’kaan boro ‘splendid promontory’ or gorang bulaan ‘golden tower’), from which the officiants perform the singgi’ eulogy. For the highest ritual of the West (rapasan), the ‘meat platform’ (bala'kaan duku) is erected, from which the meat to be shared is thrown and the ancestors invoked.

Dans le grand rituel du Levant (bua’ kasalle) est érigée une haute plate-forme (bala’kaan boro « promontoire splendide » ou gorang bulaan « tour dorée ») d’où les officiants déclament les louanges singgi’. Dans le grand rituel du Couchant (rapasan), est érigée la « plate-forme à viande » (bala’kaan duku’) d’où est distribuée la viande pour le partage et d’où sont invoqués les ancêtres. (French)

Dalam ritus besar aluk rampe matallo (bua’) didirikan sebuah panggung yang tinggi (“menara yang permai” bala’kaan boro atau gorang bulaan, “menara emas”, tempat para pemangku adat mendeklamasikan madah pujian singgi’. Dalam ritus besar aluk rampe matampu’ (rapasan), didirikan “panggung daging” (bala’kaan duku’), tempat dilemparkannya daging untuk dibagi-bagikan. Dari tempat ini pulalah para leluhur dihimbau.
