However, in one of Posadas' letters to Nadia Boulanger from 19 September 1949, he mentions the following: "A few days ago I asked the École Normale de Musique for a copy of my Counterpoint Diploma (License), because unfortunately I lost the original obtained in the year 1933. I was astonished to receive only a letter from the General Secretary certifying that I had obtained the first part of the License, in the year 1932. My sister (who is now in Paris) tells me that she was afraid that the School would not find any more papers in the archive, which would mean that officially I had not done the whole License, which is contrary to the truth, because you may remember that I left Paris in August 1933 after having received my Diploma for the whole License, with the mention 'Bien', (that is, for the 2nd part)."
