Elles se caractérisent par un grand nombre d’animaux sacrifiés (chiots, chiens, poules, porcs, buffles). Sur vingt-deux funérailles, j’ai assisté à quatre funérailles véritablement traditionnelles, non chrétiennes. Dans ce type de funérailles, les maîtres de cérémonie sont les officiants to minaa et to mebalun.

Known as aluk to dolo, these rituals mobilize a great number of sacrificed animals (puppies, dogs, hens, pigs, buffaloes). Out of twenty-two funerals attended, there were only four that were totally traditional, uninfluenced by the Christian rite. Disebut Aluk To Dolo “Agama Para Leluhur”, ritus ini melibatkan sejumlah besar binatang korban (anak anjing, anjing, ayam, babi dan kerbau). Dari 22 upacara pemakaman, saya hanya mengikuti empat pemakaman yang benar-benar tradisional, yang tidak terpengaruh oleh ritus Kristen.
