Dans le grand rituel de funérailles, « l’enveloppeur de mort » (to mebalun) est aussi nommé « prêtre de l’ombre du défunt » (to burake bombo) ou « prêtre du Soleil couchant » (to burake matampu’). Il a pour paire l’officiant(e) to burake des rituels du Levant (to burake tattiku’ au Nord ou to burake tambolang au Sud).

In the highest funeral ritual, to mebalun (‘death wrapper’) is also called to burake bombo (‘priest of the deceased’s shade’) or to burake matampu' (‘priest of the setting sun’). His counterpart is the officiant to burake of the celebrations of the East (to burake tattiku’ in the north, or to burake tambolang in the south). (anglais)
