Enregistré à l’occasion de la restauration d’une maison ancestrale. Cinq groupes de chanteurs et chanteuses étaient invités : trois groupes de simbong de Tiroan et Se’seng et deux groupes de dandan de Tiroan et Bolokan. De midi à 3 h du matin, ces chœurs ont chanté soit chacun à leur tour, soit de manière superposée, en polymusique. A l'intérieur des chants sont insérés des déclamations solistes (singgi’ ou retteng).

Recorded during an ancestral house celebration given the term bua’, although the ritual is performed under Catholic authority. The celebration is called a ma’kurre sumanga’ (“thanksgiving”) celebration. Five choruses are invited: three male choruses from the villages of Tiroan and Se’seng, and two female choruses from Tiroan and Bolokan. Performed between noon and 3 a.m., either alternatively or in polymusic. Some declamations (singgi’ or retteng) are inserted into the songs. (anglais)
