Les divinités toraja sont régulièrement nourries et appelées par les humains. Deux rituels (maro et bugi’) invitent les divinités à manger et à descendre dans le corps de certains participants. Ces appels se font par plusieurs types de chants, psalmodiés, scandés ou chantés, par les officiants, par les hommes ou par les femmes.

The Toraja regularly give food offerings and appeal to their divinities. Two rituals (maro and bugi’) summon the divinities to feed and to enter into the bodies of select individuals attending the ceremony. These requests are made through various kinds of songs. (anglais)
