Le bua’ kasalle couronne le cycle de « la règle de l’échelle des bambous emboîtés » (aluk silau’ eran silopak tallang). Il était autrefois le plus grand rituel toraja, résultant d’une longue série de rituels. Ce n’est qu’après avoir réalisé le plus grand rituel du Couchant, puis toute une série de rites du Levant que le bua’ kasalle pouvait avoir lieu.

The bua’ kasalle crowns the cycle of ‘rule of the graduated ladder of paired bamboos’ (aluk silau' eran silopak tallang). At one time it was the greatest of all the Toraja celebrations, the conclusion of a long series of rituals. The bua’ kasalle could be performed only after completing the greatest rite of the West, followed by a series of rites of the East. (anglais)

Pesta bua’ kasalle merupakan mahkota dari siklus “aturan tangga bambu bertiang ganda, belahan atap saling menangkup” (aluk silau’ eran silopak tallang). Pada zaman dahulu, pesta bua’ adalah yang terbesar dari seluruh pesta adat Toraja, yang merupakan akhir dari untaian ritus yang panjang dan kompleks. Hanya sesudah pelaksanaan pesta terbesar dari ritus Ufuk Barat,yang disusul oleh seuntaian ritus Ufuk Timur, sebuah ritus bua’ kasalle dapat dilaksanakan. (indonésien)
