The counterpart of the megalithic stone (simbuang batu) would appear to be the forked tree parangka of the bua’ kasalle ritual. ‘’The parangka erected for the bua’ kasalle is a stone placed alongside the sandalwood tree, in front of the house where the ‘officiated’ woman (tumbang) lives’’. (Nooy-Palm 1986: 322 and 338, note 6)

Le mégalithe (simbuang batu) des funérailles aurait pour réplique le parangka du rituel bua’ kasalle. « Le parangka érigé lors du rituel bua’ est une pierre, placée à côté de l’arbre de bois de santal, devant la maison ou réside l’officiée tumbang. » (Nooy-Palm 1986 : 322 et 338, note 6, ma traduction).
