[A.4.1.3 P0_8 A-1] Drone –continuous and discontinuous., [A.4.1.3 P0_8 A-1] Bourdon continu et discontinu (French), [A.4.1.3 P0_8 A-1] Dengungan yang terus-menerus dan dengungan yang terputus-putus. (Indonesian)
PublicThe drone can be alternately continuous or discontinuous, both in vocal and instrumental music. The continuous drone of the flutes and fiddles of healing recalls that of the simbong. Whereas in the latter the drone becomes syllabic during the recitation of the lyrics, in the instrumental repertoires it is discontinuous (rhythmic) in the rapid tempo melodies.
(Indonesian)
