Public

As in the maro, the images of the bugi’ evoke a world upside-down: ‘the ships climb the mountains’ (la membuntumo orongan); the origin of the bugi’, ‘at the edge of the sky where the rain is born’, is a place where people's ‘chignons are dressed upwards’, and hair grows backwards, where ‘people live with the sun turned over, and where its rays give no light’.
