To minaa gandang barani « Celui qui sait, le tambour courageux » ou To ma’ gandang « Celui qui frappe le tambour ». Son nom est associé au tambour, à la voix qui résonne, alors qu’il ne joue pas de tambour et n’est pas spécialement bon chanteur. Il peut énumérer les sept couches du cosmos.

To minaa Gandang Barani, also called ‘He who beats the drum’ To Ma' Gandang or To minaa Manakka. Though his name is associated with the drum and with the resonant voice he does not play the drum and is not a particularly good singer. He can enumerate the seven layers of the cosmos. (anglais)

To minaa gandang barani (to minaa gendang berani), atau disebut juga to ma’gandang (ia yang menabuh gendang), atau to minaa manakka (to minaa yang mahir). Namanya diasosiasikan dengan gendang, dan dengan suara yang bergetar, meskipun ia bukan pemain gendang, dan belum tentu ia seorang penyanyi profesional. Sulo, à la fois to minaa gandang barani (« sage tambour vaillant ») et to burake tattiku', descendant de Ne' Songo (mort en 1920). Sur les dix enfants de Ne' Sulo, huit sont chrétiens. Ici, à Bamba (Deri), lors d'un bua' kasalle, 1993., To Minaa Gandang Barani (‘The Wise Valiant Drum’) and to burake tattiku’, descendent of Ne' Songo (died in 1920). Surly, hard, and radical. Of the ten children of Ne' Sulo, eight are Christians. None of them succeeded their father.
