Les chanteurs peuvent broder ensemble à l’unisson. Le chœur mémorise la mélodie avec ses ornements. Les agréments de type mélodique sont repérables par de petits groupes de notes conjointes venant se souder en mouvement descendant ou ascendant à la note de récitation. La variété des cellules ornementales contraste avec l’horizontalité dépouillée de la corde récitative. Ajoutés à la corde de récitation, ces groupes d’ornements tendent à devenir la mélodie elle-même.
