The singers may embroider together in unison. The chorus memorizes the melody with its ornaments. Embellishments of a melodic nature are detectable through small groups of joined tones bunching together with a downward or upward movement on the recitation tone. The variety of ornamental cells contrasts with the bare horizontality of the reciting tone. Added to the reciting tone, these groups of ornaments tend to become the melody itself.

Les chanteurs peuvent broder ensemble à l’unisson. Le chœur mémorise la mélodie avec ses ornements. Les agréments de type mélodique sont repérables par de petits groupes de notes conjointes venant se souder en mouvement descendant ou ascendant à la note de récitation. La variété des cellules ornementales contraste avec l’horizontalité dépouillée de la corde récitative.
