Les spécificités acoustiques du jeu de voyelles ont été mises en évidence par l’analyse de sonagrammes. Sur [o], le spectre est étendu de h1 à h4 et sur [e], le spectre s’élargit et laisse apparaître trois zones formantiques : h1 à h3 ; h7 à h9 et h12-h13-h14. Les voyelles fermées antérieures ont un champ de fréquence plus vaste car les formants sont éloignés. Lors du passage de [o] à [e], il y a modification d’un aspect du timbre : la brillance, déterminée par la fréquence des formants. Les deux premiers formants du [o] sont rapprochés alors que ceux du [e] sont écartés.

Analyzing the spectrograms reveals the acoustic specificities of the vowel play. On the [o] the spectrum extends from h1 to h4, while on the [e] the spectrum widens, giving rise to three formant zones: h1 to h3, h7 to h9, and h12-h13-h14. The front closed vowels have a much wider field of frequencies, as their formants are further apart. When changing from [o] to [e] there is a modification in an aspect of the timbre: the brilliance, determined by the formants’ frequencies. The first two formants of the [o] are close together whilst those of [e] are wide apart. (anglais)

Kekhasan akustik permainan huruf-huruf hidup ditampilkan melalui analisis sonagram. Pada [o], spektrumnya terentang dari h1 ke h4, dan pada [e], spektrumnya meluas dan memunculkan tiga zona forman: h1 ke h3; h7 ke h9 dan h12-h13-h14.
