PublicA single melody is performed at different pitches – often by women: in neutral thirds, in fifths, and the octave above, in nearly perfect homorhythm. These voices embellish (umpemelloi), the singing is then said to be ‘fine, little, delicate’ (ma'barinni).
Une même mélodie est réalisée à différentes hauteurs, souvent par des femmes : à la tierce neutre, à la quinte, à l’octave supérieure, en homorythmie presque complète. Ces voix embellissent (umpemelloi) le chant alors qualifié de « fin, petit, délicat » (ma’barinni). (French)
