The kakarun invocation comes next followed by the sacrifice of three types of animals (a dog, a cock, and one or two buffaloes). At the opening rite, one or two buffaloes are sacrificed and are considered to die at the same time as the deceased. The meat from these two buffaloes may not be eaten by the immediate family (Koubi 1982: 63).

(Indonesian)
