Once on the sacrificial site the body is placed on a decorated funeral tower (lakkean sura’) or platform in the form of a Toraja house in the center of the field. The effigy, when there is one, lies underneath. Once the whole family would go round this tower (see Ossoran badong for Indo’ Serang, line 899). The families are accommodated in temporary lodgings. Pigs are slaughtered off the sacrificial field, which is reserved for sacrificing buffaloes.

Une fois sur le champ sacrificiel, le corps est placé sur une tour funéraire décorée (lakkean sura’) ou plate-forme en forme de maison toraja au centre. L’effigie – quand il y en a une –, repose en dessous. Autrefois, toute la famille tournait autour de cette tour (voir Hagiographie ossoran badong, vers 899). Les familles s’installent dans des loges temporaires. Des cochons sont abattus hors du champ sacrificiel, réservé aux sacrifices des buffles. (French)

Setibanya di arena penyembelihan, jenazah ditempatkan di atas sebuah menara pemakaman dengan ragam hias Toraja lakkian sura’. Atau berbentuk pendopo dengan menara yang menyerupai rumah Toraja yang menjulang di tengah-tengahnya. Jika ada tau-tau, maka ia harus ditempatkan di dalam pendopo. Dahulu, seluruh keluarga berseliweran di sekitar menara ini (lihat ossoran badong, sajak 899). Banyak keluarga tinggal dalam ruang-ruang pemondokan sementara. Penyembelihan babi dilakukan di luar arena penyembelihan yang hanya digunakan untuk penyembelihan kerbau. (Indonesian)
