The family of the deceased has to welcome a great number of guests. The ritual of welcome can take several days: when the guests bring their gifts the deceased’s family welcome the participants by offering them areca nut in a luxurious pavilion where they greet each other.

La famille du défunt doit accueillir un grand nombre d’invités. Le rituel d’accueil peut prendre plusieurs jours : tandis que les invités apportent leurs dons, la famille du défunt accueille les participants en leur offrant la noix d’arec dans une luxueuse loge d’accueil où les parties se saluent. Keluarga mendiang harus menerima sejumlah besar tamu. Ritus penerimaan dapat berlangsung beberapa hari. Jika para tamu datang membawa hadiah, keluarga mendiang menerima para tamunya dengan mempersembahkan biji pinang dalam sebuah ruang penerimaan tamu yang dihias dengan indah.
