The dondi’ allows images to succeed each other without connection. The inconsequence of the meaning is what makes the dondi’ poetic.The stanzas follow one another informally without any apparent logic; as far as meaning goes only unconnected phrases exist here, too broken up to make sense in terms of everyday speech.

Très libre, le dondi’ permet d’égrener des images qui n’ont pas nécessairement de liens. C’est l’inconséquence du sens, qui fait du dondi’ une parole poétique. Les strophes se succèdent de façon informelle, sans suite logique apparente ; n’existe ici qu’une parole disjointe au niveau du sens, écartelée par rapport à l’exigence de sens dénotatif du langage habituel. Sangat bebas, dondi’ memungkinkan untuk memperdengarkan berbagai citra yang tidak harus memiliki hubungan. Ketidak-konsistenan makna inilah yang menjadikan dondi’ sebuah karya puitis. Bait-bait susul-menyusul secara informal, tanpa keteraturan logis yang jelas; hanya berupa wacana yang terpisah-pisah pada tingkat makna, terkoyak-koyak bila dibandingkan dengan tuntutan makna denotatif dari bahasa yang lazim.
