While the men dance the badong in the sacrificial area, the family members, the allies and the people of the village crowd together on mats around the deceased, in the house, and on the platform of the rice granaries. The group of singers is informal. Women, men and children join the song. The echoing sounds fill the ceremonial house where the deceased is lying. Women bring coffee regularly to the singers and to anyone else still awake; the songs go on until dawn.

(Indonesian)
