Il existe des différences de contenu entre les deux poèmes. Si tous les deux ressortent de l’éloge, ce qui est raconté n’est pas identique. Dans l’ossoran badong, adressé au défunt, le défunt s’élève et quitte les humains. Dans le récit, le mouvement d’abord centrifuge devient centripète.

There are differences in content between the two poems. Though both originate in praise, what is recounted is not identical. In the ossoran badong, the deceased ascends and moves on. In the ossoran badong, the centrifugal movement of the narrative is followed by a centripetal one, which is not the case in the samparan simbong. (anglais)

Terdapat perbedaan isi antara kedua puisi. Jika keduanya muncul dari usaha untuk mengumandangkan pujian, apa yang diceritakan tidak identik satu sama lain.
