At the end of the first funeral celebration, the clothes of the deceased’s kin are dyed black (ossoran badong, line 784). During the intermediary period between the two celebrations – which can last from a few days to several years – , music is not allowed. The children go about bargaining for the largest number of buffaloes, at the best price for the sake of the final celebration (line 808). The corpse stays hanging from the ceiling of the house (lines 828, 829).

À la fin de la première fête, les habits des proches du défunt sont teints en noir (hagiographie ossoran badong, vers 784).
