The courtyard is surrounded with a red cloth (kaseda). During the first funerals, most particularly the courtyard is where the invocations (kakarun) to the deceased, the gifts, sacrifices, songs, dances, and cock-fights take place.

La cour est entourée d’un tissu rouge (kaseda). Pendant les premières funérailles, c’est dans la cour qu’ont lieu notamment les invocations (kakarun) au défunt, les dons, les sacrifices, les chants, les danses, les combats de coqs. (French)

Halaman ini pun dikitari oleh kain merah (kaseda). Pada saat upacara pemakaman yang pertama, di halaman inilah tempat berlangsungnya madah pujaan (kakarun) kepada mendiang, penyerahan hadiah, penyembelihan hewan korban, nyanyian, tari-tarian, dan sabung ayam. (Indonesian)
