The first ceremony, lasting four days, is called metangdo’ ‘being at the front of the house’. The officiants are seated there during this first celebration. Inside the house a female effigy anak dara has been put on the navel post. The heart of this first celebration is the consecration of the ‘officiated’ women, the performance of the choruses, the sacrifice of pigs, sharing the meat, and making offerings to the effigy.

La première cérémonie, qui se déroule sur quatre jours, se nomme metangdo’ « être sur le devant de la maison », lieu sur lequel les officiants siègent pendant cette première partie. Dans la maison a été dressée l’effigie féminine anak dara sur le poteau nombril. Le cœur de cette première fête est figuré par la consécration des officiées, la venue des grands chœurs, le sacrifice des porcs, le partage de la viande et les offrandes à l’effigie. (French)

Upacara pertama, yang berlangsung selama empat hari, disebut metangdo’, “berada di depan beranda rumah”, tempat para pemangku adat berada selama pesta pertama ini. Di dalam rumah telah didirikan sebuah patung perempuan anak dara di atas “tiang pusar”. Inti dari upacara pertama ini adalah berupa pemberkatan para wanita yang dilantik, penyelenggaraan kor yang besar, penyembelihan babi secara besar-besaran, pembagian daging dan pemberian persembahan kepada patung.
