[B.2.2.1.1] Récit de «l'être-en-divinité», [B.2.2.1.1] Gelong Kandeatan (indonésien), [B.2.2.1.1] Gelong kandeatan narrative. (anglais)

Public

This trance song recounts the descent of iron (associated with the divinities) into the officiant’s body, and the restoration of health through the scarification of individuals in trance. While the individual in trance is bleeding, the healer seeks someone wanting to be cured. The person having been healed, the song is taken up by the individual in trance, who recalls his experience, by means of drum or iron, considered intercessors between men and the divinities.
