The soloists’ virtuosity is noticeable in the repertoires of the West in their leading the badong song and in the marakka lamentation; and in the repertoires of the East, in the great simbong chorus and in the repertoires for flutes in the pakorong ritual. Their skills are much greater than those of the musicians who accompany them.

La virtuosité des solistes est sensible au Couchant dans la conduite du badong, dans la déploration marakka, et au Levant, dans le grand chœur simbong, et dans les répertoires pour flûtes du rituel pakorong.
