On this day, from each of the five houses participating in the ritual, the drummers, dancers and officiants emerge, along with the long trident ceremonial masts loaded with rich ancient fabrics. The five houses are represented by groups of five: five groups of drums, five groups of officiants, five masts, five groups of dancers. All assemble on the large field outside the village, towards the East. In an ineffable euphoria, the masts are erected, then sung to; the men jump frenetically, the women enter into a trance.

Enregistré le jour de la sortie des mâts bate. De chacune des cinq maisons participant au rituel, sortent les tambourinaires et les danseuses, les officiants, et les mâts cérémoniels tridents chargés de riches tissus anciens, de poignards et de cordyline. Cinq mâts sont plantés, chacun étant accompagné de son propre groupe d’officiants, de tambours et de danseuses.. Tous se rejoignent sur le grand champ en dehors du village, sur la place du « marché » aux divinités. Les mâts sont plantés dans une euphorie indescriptible, puis chantés, les hommes sautent frénétiquement, les femmes entrent en transe.
