Il est surprenant de constater que presque tous les badong sont à quatre temps. Les valeurs de note sont simples, la plus petite unité n’excédant pas la double croche. Le plus souvent, le premier temps fort est une noire et le dernier temps faible de la mesure est divisé en deux, comme le montre cette matrice mélodico-rythmique de cinq mesures.

It is surprising to realize that nearly all the badong are in four beats. The note values are simple, the smallest unit being no larger than a semiquaver (sixteenth note). Menarik untuk diketahui bahwa hampir seluruh badong terdiri dari empat ketukan. Durasi nada sederhana. Satuan terkecil tidak melampaui titinada berbendera ganda. Sangat sering ditemukan ketukan pertama yang kuat berwarna hitam dan ketukan terakhir yang lemah dari birama yang terbagi dua, seperti yang diperlihatkan oleh acuan melodiko-ritmis dengan lima birama.
