In the two greatest celebrations – of both the West and the East – the entrance onto the ceremonial field is consecrated by the stem-family members, who enter in procession. In the rites of the West, the ma’pasonglo rite (‘descending in procession’ to the field west of the house) opens the second funeral celebration. In the same way, in the rituals of the East, the second part of the bua’ kasalle opens with the family members entering the field east of the house in procession. In both cases, the celebration site is moved outside the house for the second stage.

Dans les deux plus grands rituels, du Couchant et du Levant, l’entrée sur le champ cérémoniel est consacrée par l’entrée en procession des familles (rapu). Au Couchant, le rite ma’pasonglo (« descendre en procession » sur le grand champ à l’ouest de la maison) ouvre les secondes funérailles. Au Levant, la seconde partie du bua’ kasalle s’ouvre par l’entrée en procession des membres de la famille sur le grand champ à l’est de la maison (megorang tama kala’paran). Dalam kedua pesta terbesar, aluk rampe matampu’ dan aluk rampe matallo, yang bisa masukke dalam arena upacara hanya anggota keluarga besar.
