15 November 1993. Several rites are performed to bless the village (sambe' tondok ‘make prayers to the divinities by offering chickens’). The offerings open the period of prohibition. These include for example a ban on eating spices and pork, and on working. In the houses, the officiants begin to chant the gelong recitations.

15 novembre 1993. Plusieurs rites ont lieu pour bénir le village (sambe’ tondok « faire des prières aux divinités par l’offrande de poulets »). Les offrandes ouvrent la période d’interdits dont celui de manger des piments et du porc, ou celui de travailler… Dans les maisons, les officiants commencent les récitations psalmodiées gelong. 15/11/93. Beberapa ritus diadakan untuk kampung (sambe’ tondok, “berdoa pada para dewa dengan persembahan ayam”). Persembahan ini menjadi awal dimulainya periode larangan, yang antara lain larangan untuk makan cabe dan daging babi, larangan untuk bekerja. Sedangkan dalam rumah, merupakan awal dari mantra gelong oleh para pemangku adat. (Indonesian)
