The rite ma'pasa' (‘going to the market’) consists of consecrating the ceremonial field. In each house, more than twenty chickens are sacrificed, cooked in bamboos and then offered to the divinities on the ‘market’, or ceremonial field, to which the divinities descend. Other offerings for the ancestors and divinities are made on the drum; the drum rests on one of its two heads (skins): on the upper head rest a sacred cloth (maa') and four tabang leaves on which are placed rice, areca nut, lime, cooked chicken, and a saber. Sitting in front of the drum a to minaa prays, singing. The recitation of the gelong takes place in the houses in the evening. On the third day, the barren women go to the stone of Landorundun to help improve their fertility. The gelong Bone (‘song of Bone’) is chanted in the five houses in the evening. (anglais)
