The coffin decoration is a sign of nobility: the shroud of the great nobles is called the ‘golden envelop’ (balun bulaan). The sunburst is the prescribed motif engraved on the coffin (Koubi 1982: 159).

La décoration du cercueil est signe de noblesse : le linceul des grands nobles se nomme « enveloppe dorée » (balun bulaan). Le motif prescrit gravé sur le cercueil est celui des rayons du soleil (Koubi 1982 : 159). (French)
