Sung in fragments during the ritual, the poem evokes the descent of iron and divinities to earth. The ‘healer’ then calls on the iron and describes his scarification; he calls for someone wishing to heal with blood. Then the visions of the person in trance are described: the person recalls his journey, his iron bath, his drum and bath.... Dramatic power is added through an account of the events by the chorus, a collective, singing in the first person singular, thus recounting indirectly the drama of the person who scarifies himself for the community.

Chanté par fragments pendant le rituel, le poème évoque la descente du fer et des divinités sur la terre. Le « guérisseur » s’adresse ensuite au fer et décrit sa scarification, il appelle une personne qui désire guérir par le sang. Sont ensuite décrites les visions de la personne en transe qui se souvient de son voyage, de son bain de fer, son bain de tambour…). La puissance dramatique de l’expression est liée au décalage du sujet de l’énonciation : le chœur, un collectif, chante, à la première personne du singulier, le drame de celui qui se sacrifie pour la collectivité. Dibawakan per fragmen pada saat ritus, syair menceritakan tentang turunnya besi dan para dewa di atas bumi. “Orang yang menyembuhkan itu” kemudian berbicara pada besi dan mendeskripsikan penorehannya, ia memanggil seseorang yang berkeinginan untuk menyembuhkan dengan darah. Kemudian, penglihatan-penglihatan orang yang sedang kesurupan dideskripsikan berdasarkan ingatan tentang perjalanan imajinernya, tentang mandi besi, atau mandi gendangnya… Kekuatan dramatis dari ungkapannya berkaitan dengan kesenjangan subjek terhadap pemberitaan: kor, suatu kolektif, menyanyikan pada orang pertama tunggal, sebuah drama dari seseorang yang mengorbankan diri untuk kepentingan kelompok.
